/nick newname - You can change your name by replacing "newname" with the name that you want.

/nickserv register password e-mail - You can register a your name by entering this string with a custom password and your e-mail address.

/nickserv identify password - You can identify yourself and use your registered name by changing your password to what you registered it to be.
