Opening Notes

I've been working on Cavies Galore since early 1997. Through the site I learned HTML, graphic and web design, search engine placement, stress reduction skills, customer service skills, all about cavies, and tons more. Yet as the site continues to grow and expand into areas that I never even dreamed of before, I find that I spend more and more time here. This is my first year of High School and with a tougher class load, tougher sports, clubs, and other activities, I find my time very crunched. So even though I love the site, I'm selling Cavies Galore. A new webmaster will be in place by the end of this month. I'm taking great pains to make sure that the next webmaster has the time, skill, and dedication needed for this site as I hope to look here years from now and see Cavies Galore still thriving. Jeff

1. What's Up With the Forums

The Cavy Forums have stopped being hacked and have instead become the target of trolls. Trolls are immature people who post to purposely get people mad at them. In order to prevent these people from easily posting I've set the new registrations to be verified by me first, so I can delete any obvious trolls. If you do find a new member that seems to be a troll, please drop my an e-mail and I will do my best to quickly get rid of them. I have no patience for trolls, they have been and will be deleted. Despite the trolls, the forums are growing faster than ever with 140 new members, 6,876 new posts, and 639 new threads during April. http://www.caviesgalore.com/forums/

There have been no other changes to Cavies Galore as I've been busy looking for a new webmaster to take over. You can expect everything to pick back up once the new webmaster gets a feel for things.
